Sinichenkova

Born in Moscow, Russia, June 30, 1946. Graduated from the Moscow State University in 1972, Biological Faculty, Department of Entomology. At the Paleontological Institute of the Russian (formerly USSR) Academy of Sciences (PIN RAN) senior technical worker, 1973-197 , junior research worker 197 -1986, PhD from this Institute 1985, research worker 1986-1993, deputy director on science of the PIN RAN 1993-1995, senior research worker 1996 till now.

Scientific interests are concentrated on taxonomy, phylogeny, evolution and ecology of Dictyopteridea (Palaeodictyoptera, Megasecoptera, Diaphanopterodea), Ephemeroptera and Plecoptera. Over 60 publications cover the above groups, including the monograph “Historical development of stoneflies” (1987). The monograph contains the data about fossil stoneflies all over the world, their origin, system, phylogeny, biogeography, ecological evolution, stratigraphic importance.
